NIGEL JAMAL HALL

Nigel is a Kansas native with a penchant for suburbia. Growing up in Colorado, he was an avid instrumentalist before musical theatre entered the fray. After the inevitable burnout pursuing a degree in flute performance and music education, Nigel pivoted to song and dance to breakup the monotony.
Though dance has always had his heart, Nigel’s true passion lies in song analysis, character development, and vocal technique (shoutout to the Matt Farnsworth Vocal Studio for getting that instrument in SHAPE). His goal is to originate a character in an original Broadway company, then allow that to propel his career into booking that enticing series regular life. Am I right?
Apart from theatre, Nigel is a proud dog dad, a staunch advocate for AEA, and is currently running for Eastern Chorus Councilor. There is nothing more important than being the change we need to see in our industry, and he will fight for the rights and protections that we desperately deserve in our current contract negotiations.

Nigel recently started teaching jazz and musical theatre at Steps On Broadway!
